Why do so many people today suffer from muscle pains? 
 

One of the main reasons for their prevalence is a lifestyle: in everyday life, more and more people adopt a sedentary lifestyle related to their type of work and the increasingly frequent use of the car for even the smallest trips.

 

With little physical activity and very little movement, our muscles are on average weaker and less toned.

 

As a result, untrained muscles are no longer able to adequately support the body weight, and in the event of a sudden onset of physical activity, the muscles, which are not used to this type of effort, become sore. 


Posture also plays a very important role in different forms of muscle pain, for example typical back pain. We often don't realise it, but while working at the computer, driving the car or spending the evening in front of the TV, we assume positions that are not quite right, no matter how comfortable they may seem.

 

Even the position we assume while sleeping can be harmful to our muscles. In response to these incorrect postures, there is an increase in muscle tension, with the risk of contractures and pain.


Finally, one should not underestimate physical and psychological stress, which, to varying degrees from individual to individual, can aggravate the level of muscle contraction and consequently pain.

MUSCLE PAIN IN SPORT: WHAT ARE THEY AND WHY DO THEY ARISE?

Doms is an English acronym that translated into Italian means 'delayed onset muscle soreness'. It is the sensation of pain and apparent stiffness of the muscles that can be felt after intense sports training. To help the muscles it is useful to proceed with a targeted massage, using Naturdol cream. Gently applying this type of cream before physical activity prepares the muscle for exertion, while applying it after activity due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and analgesic properties eases muscle pain.

In addition to applying the cream, irrespective of the symptom, it is useful to follow other precautions such as: do not neglect to do the stretching (stretching the muscles after a workout, for at least ten minutes, is a practice that helps relieve pain), practising defatigue (i.e. never suddenly stop a workout but gradually reduce its intensity), consider relaxing with a warm bath (promotes blood circulation and loosens stiff muscles).

 

It is important to remember that this type of disorder does not only affect those who are out of training, it also tends to occur when a person used to practising sport increases the intensity or duration of their training. The movements that cause the muscle to contract during the stretching phase are those most responsible for the onset of the disorder. This is the case with activities such as squats, jogging or more simply taking the stairs, depending on the type of person.
The pain is very subjective, but we can say in general that it typically occurs from the day of training up to two days later, manifesting itself with an initial acute phase, usually lasting 48 hours, which tends to diminish in intensity over time, but if left untreated can persist for up to weeks.
